Reimbursement & health insurance
Consultations at Optimaal Gezond Lab (OGL) fall under complementary care and may be partially reimbursed by your health insurer, depending on your supplementary insurance.
OGL works according to an orthomolecular and KPNI-based approach (Clinical Psycho-Neuro-Immunology). This care is not covered by basic insurance, but many health insurers (partially) reimburse it from a supplementary package.
MBOG
Treatments at OGL are performed by a therapist who holds a valid license from the MBOG
(Society for the Promotion of Orthomolecular Medicine).
For many health insurers, this affiliation is a condition for consultations to be eligible for reimbursement.
Consultation costs
The cost for a consultation is €135 per hour.
The total duration of the consultation is tailored to the help request and the type of consultation (initial or follow-up).
What is reimbursed?
In many cases, therapeutic consultations are eligible for reimbursement, including:
Orthomolecular consultation
KPNI-based intake or follow-up consultation
Analysis, interpretation, and personal treatment advice
The amount of reimbursement depends on your policy, the supplementary package, and the maximum annual budget.
Functional measurements within the consultation
During a consultation, functional measurements, such as a So-Check measurement, may be used.
These measurements are used as a supportive tool for anamnesis and system analysis.
Reimbursement applies to the consultation itself.
Functional measurements are not declared separately and do not constitute a separate product.
Payment and declaration
Consultations at OGL are paid for in advance by the client.
After you have received your invoice, you can submit it to your health insurer for possible reimbursement from your supplementary insurance.
OGL does not declare directly to health insurers.
What is usually not reimbursed?
Laboratory research
Genetic tests
Supplement
These components typically fall outside insured care and are invoiced privately.
We advise you to check with your health insurer beforehand whether and to what extent your supplementary insurance reimburses consultations.
